PROGRAMS & SERVICES
OUR APPROACH

We provide compassionate, individualized services that recognize housing instability and behavioral health often go hand-in-hand—and we design supports accordingly.
Intensive Mental & Behavioral Health Services
We offer community-based support for adults and children experiencing mental illness or co-occurring substance-use and behavioral challenges. The goal: enhance stability, promote recovery, improve daily functioning—and when housing is at risk, intervene early.

Homelessness & Housing-Stability Support
Recognizing that mental-health challenges and homelessness are deeply interconnected, we focus on those at greatest risk. For example, in the Virginia Peninsula study, about 20% of those counted in homelessness had severe mental illness or substance-use disorders. Citizen Portal+1
Our services include outreach to unsheltered persons, connection to emergency housing, and pathways to permanent supportive housing.
Resource Navigation
Many of the people we serve face multiple barriers: mental illness, housing instability, limited income, lack of support networks.
We act as a guide—connecting clients to housing resources, mental health treatment, crisis services, and community programs.

Family & Community Advocacy

Families and community agencies play a pivotal role. We support families facing behavioral-health and housing crises, provide training and education to reduce stigma, and work with local organizations to build inclusive systems of care.
Outreach, Education & Awareness
We host workshops, community forums and awareness campaigns — in order to highlight the link between homelessness, behavioral health and housing instability, and to mobilize community action.
